Which Putter Should I Use?
There are a few different types of putters. There are the normal length putters which can be placed into three categories:
The Blade Putter
The Mallet Putter
Weighted Putter
The blade putter is probably the most common putter. Most pros use a blade putter and they are the best putters for those who use the arcing putting style. The mallet putter is similar to the blade, but with a heavier and slightly larger head. It can be used with either style of putting, but is most commonly used with the straight back and forward style. Weighted (or peripheral weighted) putters are designed specifically for those who use the pendulum style. These putters usually have huge heads with a number of things to help alignment and stability.
In addition to the normal length putters there is:
Long Putters
Belly Putters
The long putters and the belly putters are designed with stability in mind. The belly putter is stabilized against -you guessed it- the belly. Long putters are putters used almost like a broom. The handle is much longer and you face the hole while putting. It is quite unique, but it can help some get better results.

I like either a mallet or a weighted putter. With the pendulum motion I use these each provide additional stability. If you are one who uses a more arced putting stroke I recommend the blade putter. It lends itself well to the wrist motion.
